The course aims to promote the acquisition of advanced-level skills useful for professional activities in secondary school teaching and informal education, as well as in the broader cultural discourse on topics related to Italian history and literature, with particular focus on the following aspects:

Italian literature of the mid-20th century;

the history of Italian society over the past century, explored through the reading of a range of non-fiction texts (essays, reportage, newspaper articles) centered on the theme of Italian identity.
Students will be expected to:

demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the above-mentioned subject matter;

be able to apply this knowledge and understanding, and to effectively present the acquired content;

have developed independent judgment regarding the material, articulating their reasoning clearly and appropriately;
