L'insegnamento si propone di fornire le seguenti competenze:
- leggere e commentare un testo letterario, poetico e narrativo;
- saperlo tradurre in maniera consapevole;
- impostare e redigere varie forme di testi interpretativi: saggio, scheda di lettura, recensione.
The course aims to provide the following skills:- read and comment on a literary text (poetry and fiction);

Al termine dell'insegnamento lo studente dovrà dimostrare:
- di essere in grado di leggere e interpretare in maniera autonoma un testo letterario, poetico e narrativo;
- di fornirne un'interpretazione/commento per iscritto sotto varie forme: saggio, scheda di lettura, recensione;
- di darne una traduzione e di saperla commentare dal punto di vista delle scelte e delle strategie traduttive.
At the end of the course the student must demonstrate:
- to be able to read and interpret a literary text autonomously;
- to provide an interpretation / comment in writing in various forms: essay, reading sheet, review;
- to provide a translation and to be able to comment on it from the point of view of the translation strategies adopted.

Il Laboratorio avrà carattere prevalentemente seminariale e applicato, con momenti di partecipazione individuale e collettiva, tanto in classe quanto a casa.
The Laboratory will be predominantly applied, with moments of individual and collective participation, both in the classroom and at home.

Modalità di verifica dell'apprendimento
Data la natura seminariale dell'insegnamento, il Laboratorio di Lingua e letteratura romena è a frequenza obbligatoria (verificata tramite appello) e non preveder voto finale bensì la "approvazione"/"non approvazione", condizionata dalla frequenza alle lezioni e dalla valutazione delle attività svolte in itinere e degli elaborati finali (v. PROGRAMMA).
Il Laboratorio viene "approvato" se lo studente:
- ha frequentato almeno 26h su 36 (13 lezioni di 2h su 18);
- ha preso parte in maniera soddisfacente alle attività svolte in classe;
- ha portato a termine in maniera soddisfacente le attività autonome di redazione degli elaborati finali: breve saggio, scheda di lettura, recensioni.
Given the seminarial nature of the Laboratory, attendancy is mandatory, and will be verified through signatures. The final "approval" is conditioned by the attendance to the lessons and the evaluation of the activities carried out in itinere and of the final paper (see PROGRAM).The Laboratory is "approved" if the student:- has attended at least 26h on 36h (13 lessons of 2h on 18 lesson);
- has taken part in a satisfactorily manner in the activities carried out in class;
- has elaborated in a satisfactory manner the final papers: short essay of tanslation and comment, reading sheet, reviews.

Programma
Il Laboratorio di Lingua e letteratura romena vuole essere una introduzione alla lettura, al commento e alla discussione di testi originali poetici e narrativi contemporanei in lingua romena, e alla loro traduzione consapevole. Ha frequenza obbligatoria e si svolge interamente in lingua romena.
Il Laboratorio ha carattere seminariale e applicato, e prevede attività di lettura e riflessione in itinere, tanto in classe quanto a casa, così come l'elaborazione e la stesura in autonomia di elaborati critici e traduzioni. Introdotti e guidati dal docente nelle prime settimane e poi in maniera sempre più autonoma nelle settimane successive, i partecipanti dovranno leggere in lingua originale vari testi poetici e alcuni romanzi romeni e prepararne in itinerecommenti, presentazioni e traduzioni che saranno esposti e discussi in classe; in vista dell'approvazione finale, dovranno inoltre regidere per iscritto un breve saggio di traduzione e commento di un testo poetico, una scheda di lettura e alcune recensioni di romanzi.
Poiché il Laboratorio funziona anche come gruppo di lettura del romanzo romeno d'esordio per il Festival du premier roman di Chambéry (http://www.festivalpremierroman.com), i romanzi oggetto di lettura e presentazone nel quadro del Laboratorio saranno i romanzi d'esordio romeni selezionati per il Festival (in genere 4 o 5 romanzi), dei quali alla fine del Laboratorio verrà elaborata una classifica che sarà inviata a Chambéry come contributo alla selezione finale dell'ospite romeno del Festival. L'autore più votato dai gruppi di lettura sarà infatti inviato all'edizione del Festival dell'anno successivo (che in genere si tiene a maggio).
Svolgimento del laboratorio
Durante le prime due-tre settimane il docente leggerà e commenterà in classe testi poetici originali in lingua romena e illustrerà i principi e le modalità di traduzione e commento così come della stesura di una scheda di lettura e di una recensione di romanzi. Al termine della seconda-terza settimana assegnerà a ciascuno membro di un primo gruppo di studenti un testo poetico il cui commento dovrà essere preparato in maniera autonoma e presentato oralmente in classe la settimana successiva, e a ciascun membro di un secondo gruppo di studenti un romanzo contemporaneo romeno da leggere a casa e presentare oralmente in classe in una data stabilita in funzione delle dimensioni del romanzo. Traduzione e commento da un lato e presentazione dall’altro saranno discussi collettivamente da docente e partecipanti al Laboratorio. Mano a mano che i membri dei primi due gruppi di studenti procederanno con le proprie traduzioni e commenti e le proprie presentazioni in classe, il docente farà nuove assegnazioni di testi e romanzi, e il Laboratorio continuerà in questo modo finché tutti i partecipanti al Laboratorio non avranno esposto in classe la traduzione e il commento di almeno un testo letterario e la presentazione di almeno un romanzo, e tutti i partecipanti avranno letto tutti i romanzi del Laboratorio.
Elaborati finali
In vista dell'approvazione del Laboratorio, ciascun partecipante dovrà elaborare per iscritto e in autonomia:
- un breve saggio (2-4 cartelle per 2.000 battute/cartella) di lettura e interpretazione di un testo letterario a sua scelta tra quelli appositamente proposti dal docente, sul modello dei commenti preparati oralmente per la discussione in classe in base alle indicazioni fornite dal docente nelle prime due settimane;
- la scheda di lettura di uno dei romanzi letti a sua scelta, secondo il modello fornito dal docente nelle prime due settimane;
- una recensione per ciascuno degli altri romanzi letti, secondo il modello fornito dal docente nelle prime due settimane.
Tutti gli elaborati dovranno ressere redatti in formato elettronico e fatti pervenire al docente tassativamente almeno 15 giorni prima della data dell'appello a cui ci si intende presentare per l'approvazione del Laboratorio.
The Laboratory of Romanian Language and Literature aims to be an introduction to reading, translating, commenting and discussing original poetic and narrative texts in Romanian.
As such, it will favour a hands-on approach; activities will include reading and reflection in itinere, both in class and at home, as well as the elaboration and drafting in autonomy of short translations and papers. Introduced and guided by the teacher in the first weeks and then more and more autonomously in the following weeks, the participants will have to read in their original language various poems and some Romanian novels and prepare comments, presentations and translations that will be presented and discussed in class; in view of the final approval, they will also have to write a short essay of translation and commentary of a poetic text, as well as a reading sheet and some reviews of novels.
Since the Laboratory also functions as a reading group of the Chambéry "Festival du premier roman" (http://www.festivalpremierroman.com), the novels read and discussed during the Laboratory will be the those proposed for the Festival (usually 4 or 5 novels): the participants' ranking and evaluation of said novels will sent to the Festival reading committee as a contribution to the final selection of the Romanian guest of the Festival. The author most voted by the reading groups will in fact be invited to the Festival of the following year (which is usually held in May).How does it works?
During the first two or three weeks the teacher will read and comment in class original poetic texts in Romanian and will explain the principles and methods of translation and comment, as well as of the drafting of the reading sheet and review of a novel. At the end of the second or third week, he will assign to each member of a first group of participant a poetic text whose comment will be elaborated in an autonomous manner and presented orally in class the following week, and to each member of a second group of students a contemporary Romanian novel to read at home and present orally in class, on a date to be established accordingly. Translation and commentary on one side and presentation on the other will be discussed collectively by teacher and participants during the Laboratory. As the members of the first two groups of students proceed with their own translations and comments and their presentations in class, the teacher will make new assignments of poems and novels, and the Laboratory will continue in this way until all the participants will give their presentations of at least one poems and one novel, and all the participants will have read all the novels selected for the Laboratory.
Final papers
In order to obtain the final approval of the Laboratory, each participant will have to submit the following papers, elaborated accordingly to the format presented during the Laboratory:
- one short essay (4,000-8,000 characters) of translation and interpretation of a poetic text;
- one reading sheet, of one of the novels read during the Laboratory;
- several reviews, one for each one of the other novels read during the Laboratory.
All the paper must be submitted to the teacher in electronic format at least 15 days before the date of the exam to which the participant intends to register the approval of the Laboratory.

Il Laboratorio ha carattere pratico e non prevede letture aggiuntive rispetto ai testi e ai romanzi assegnati in classe, i quali verrano tutti forniti dal docente nel corso delle lezioni; i testi letterari letti e commentati in classe saranno inoltre messi a disposizione degli studenti online nella sezione "MATERIALI" (a fondo pagina).
The Laboratory has an applied character and does not require additional readings (aside from the texts and novels discussed in class, all of which will be provided by the teacher during the lessons); the poems read in class will also be made available to the participants online in the "DIDACTIC MATERIALS" section (see bottom of the page).
