Obiettivi formativi
Il corso ha come obiettivo di fornire agli studenti una conoscenza dell'evoluzione del sistema mediatico contemporaneo con particolare attenzione a cinema, televisione e cultura digitale.
The course will provide students with knowledge of the evolution of the contemporay media system with focus on cinema, television and digital culture.

Al termine del corso gli studenti
a) avranno una visione completa del panorama mediale contemporaneo ;
b)saranno in grado di individuare le dinamiche economiche, sociali e culturali alla base del sistema dei media contemporaneo;
c) avranno strumenti per valutare prodotti filmici e televisivi;
d) saranno in grado di esporre criticamente una valutazione su prodotti audiovisivi;
e) saranno in grado di proseguire autonomamente con l'approfondimento della materia
At the end of the classes the students
a) will have a broad vision of the contemporary media landscape;
b)will be able to identify the cultural, economical, and social dynamics of the contemporary media system;
c) will be able to judge cinematographic and television products;
d) will be able to express a critical evaluation of audio-visual products;
e) will be able to continue the study of the subject independently.

Lezioni frontali in inglese e visione di contributi video. Anche se la frequenza è consigliata, sarà disponibile per i non frequentanti la pagina e-learning del corso.
Frontal lectures and film viewing. Even if class attendance is highly recommended, all the materials will be available for non-attending students on the e-learning page.

Modalità di verifica dell'apprendimento
L'esame sarà in forma orale e in lingua inglese a partire dall'analisi di un prodotto audiovisivo scelto dallo studente. La preparazione sarà giudicata adeguata quando lo studente dimostrerà di muoversi autonomamente tra i testi consigliati e stabilire connessioni tra le opere.
Oral exam in English starting from the review of an audiovisual product chosen by the student. The students' competence will be judged appropriate when they will show the ability to establish connection between the recommended books and analyzed products.

Programma
Le lezioni saranno divise tra una parte istituzionale dedicata allo studio dell'evoluzione del sistema mediatico e delle relazioni tra cinema e altri media, in particolare la televisione, e una parte monografica dedicata alla produzione contemporanea di fiction e alle sue tematiche.
Classes will be divided into a first part dedicated to the evolution of the media system and the relationship between cinema and other media, mainly television, and a monographic part dedicated to the production of contemporary fiction and its main themes.
