Obiettivi formativi
L'insegnamento di Letteratura francese (prima annualità) rientra nell'ambito della formazione letteraria triennale prevista dall'offerta formativa del CdL L-11, con particolare riguardo per i profili professionali legati alla formazione, all'editoria, all'organizzzazione di eventi letterari e culturali, ai lavori nelle biblioteche e nei musei. Attraverso lo studio delle opere, degli autori e dei temi principali della tradizione letteraria e culturale francese, l'insegnamento è finalizzato all'acquisizione delle conoscenze fondamentali nel quadro storico-ideologico di riferimento e delle competenze di base di analisi e commento critico-letterario dei testi. In particolare, l'insegnamento di LETTERATURA FRANCESE (prima annualità) intende fornire un approccio problematico e critico della storiografia letteraria francese dal Medioevo alla fine del Seicento e sviluppare le capacità di lettura e di analisi critica di un testo letterario in lingua francese.
French Literaure (first year) is part of the three-year literary education provided by the Degree Course L-11, with particular attention to professional prifiles related to teaching, publishing, organization of literary and cultural events and work in libraries and museums. Through the study of the works, authors and main themes of the different cultural traditions, with the support of multimedia aids, is aimed at the acquisition of fundamental knowledge in the historical-ideological framework of reference and of the basic tools for the analysis and critical-literary commentary of texts. In particular, the teaching of FRENCH LITERATURE (first year) aims to provide students with a problematic approach to French literary historiography from the Middle Ages to the 17th century and to develop the ability to read and critically analyse a French literary text.

Al termine dell'insegnamento e dello studio individuale ci si attende che gli studenti acquisiscano conoscenze e competenze utili a:
1. comprendere e conoscere il quadro storico letterario francese dal Medioevo alla fine del XVII secolo, con particolare approfondimento delle caratteristiche del teatro francese secentesco.
2. applicare le conoscenze acquisite nella parte teorica per l'analisi dei testi teatrali primari indicati in bibliografia.
3. analizzare con un'adeguata autonomia di giudizio i testi teatrali creando collegamenti tra di essi ed inquadrandoli nella problematica su cui è incentrato l'insegnamento (Riscritture di miti nel teatro francese secentesco).
4. esporre i contenuti in maniera articolata e con proprietà di linguaggio in francese per quanto riguarda la storia letteraria ed in italiano per la parte relativa all'analisi dei testi.
5. operare una distinstinzione tra uno studio sintetico della storia letteraria ed uno studio analitico dei testi.
At the end of the course, students will have to demonstrate to be able to:
1. understand and know the French literary historical framework from the Middle Ages to the end of the 17th century and the characteristics of 17th-century French theatre
2. apply the knowledge acquired in the theoretical part to the analysis of theatrical texts.
3. analyse theatrical texts with adequate autonomy, creating connections between them and framing them within the problematic on which the teaching is focused.
4. express the contents in an articulate manner and with properties of language in French as regards literary history and in Italian for the part relating to the analysis of texts.
5. make a distintion between a synthetic study of literary history and an analytical study of texts.

Programma
Per la definizione del programma sono stati presi in considerazione i profili professionali in uscita, connessi all'insegnamento, all'organizzazione di eventi culturali, all'editoria, ai lavori nei musei e nelle biblioteche.
L'insegnamento è strutturato in due moduli:
1. Storia letteraria francese dal Medioevo al XVII secolo
Lineamenti di storia letteraria in supporto al manuale indicato in bibliografia o ad un manuale di scuola superiore.
2. Riscritture di miti nel teatro francese secentesco.
Obiettivo dell'insegnamento è indagare come i drammaturghi francesi utilizzino i miti, riadattandoli al nuovo contesto di recezione che è il teatro del XVII secolo. Una prima parte del programma illustrerà le caratteristiche peculiari del teatro francese secentesco, seguirà una parte teorica sullo studio dei miti ed una metodologica sugli strumenti critici di analisi dei testi teatrali. Si passerà poi alla lettura ed all'analisi delle seguenti pièces:

The program definition took into consideration the professional profiles of the outgoing students connected to teaching, organization of cultural and literary events, publishing, work in museums and librairies.
The course is structured in two parts:
1. French literary history from the Middle Ages to the end of the 17th century.
Outlines of literary history in support of the textbook indicated in the bibliography or of a high school textbook.
2. Rewritings of myths in the seventeenth-century French Theater.
The aim of the teaching is to investigate how Seventeenth-century French playwrights use myths, readjusting them to the new context of reception that is seventeenth-century French theatre. A first part of the programme will illustrate the peculiar characteristics of 17th-century French theatre, followed by a theoretical part on the study of myths and a methodological part on the critical tools for analysing theatrical texts. The following plays will then be read and analysed:

Modalità di insegnamento
L'insegnamento prevede 60 ore di lezioni frontali in aula con discussione critica ed analisi dei testi teatrali. Visione ed analisi di alcune scene delle pièces prese in esame.
Il materiale didattico di ogni lezione sarà messo a disposizione alla fine della settimana sulla piattaforma moodle.

Modalità di verifica dell'apprendimento
La verifica della preparazione avverrà con un esame orale in forma di colloquio che si svolgerà parzialmente o interamente in lingua francese. Il voto sarà espresso in trentesimi.
Sarà accertata la conoscenza della storia letteraria francese dal Medioevo alla fine del Seicento (in francese) e delle peculiarità del teatro francese secentesco (in italiano o in francese). Nella prima parte del colloquio, verranno verificate le capacità di apprendimento e di rielaborazione della storiografia critico-letteraria francese, le conoscenze relative alle dinamiche teatrali secentesche, le abilità comunicative in lingua francese ed italiana.
Nella seconda parte verrà richiesta la presentazione e l'analisi di una o più opere drammatiche segnalate in bibliografia, con particolare attenzione alla contestualizzazione ed alla corretta interpretazione dei testi in rapporto alla problematica dell'insegnamento (Riscritture di miti nel teatro francese secentesco). Gli studenti e le studentesse dovranno essere in grado di applicare le conoscenze acquisite e di sviluppare un'adeguata autonomia di analisi e di giudizio.
Per il superamento della prova d'esame, si dovrà dimostrare una preparazione adeguata in entrambe le parti del colloquio. Il conseguimento di una votazione eccellente è correlata alla piena conoscenza delle nozioni richieste, alla capacità di analisi dei testi, ad un'ottima capacità espositiva nelle due lingue, ad una buona proprietà terminologica.
Verification of the students' preparation will take the form of an oral examination in the form of an interview. The interview will be conducted partly or entierely in French. The grade will be expressed in thirtieths.
Knowledge of French literary history from the Middle Ages to the end of the Seventeenth-century (in French) and of the peculiarities of seventeenth-century French theatre (in French or in Italian) wiil be tested. In the first part of the interview, will test skills in learning and reworking French critical-literary historiography, knowledge of the seventeenth-century theatrical dynamics, and communication skills in French and Italian.
In the second part, students will be asked to present and analyse one or more dramatic texts indicated in the bibliography, with particular attention to the contextualisation and correct interpretation of the texts in relation to the course issue. Students are expected to be able to apply the acquired knowledge and to develop an adequate autonomy of analysis and judgement.
Adequate preparation in both parts of the interview must be demonstrated to pass the examination tests. The achievement of an excellent grade is related to full knowledge of the required concepts, ability to analyze tests, excellent expository skills in the two languages, and good terminological properties.
